### The Problem
Needed a professional online presence that loads fast, ranks on Google, and has a real working contact form — not just a static page.

### Architecture & Approach
Built from scratch. Serverless backend using Vercel Functions and Resend API for the contact form, with strict rate limiting. Every asset optimized: WebP images, deferred scripts, preloaded fonts, semantic HTML for SEO.

### Engineering Challenges & Solutions
- Hitting 95+ across all 4 Lighthouse categories (Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices, SEO) simultaneously
- Contact form security — serverless rate limiting, spam protection without exposing API keys
- Responsive layout without any CSS framework or build tool

### Outcome & Results
Portfolio scoring 95+ Lighthouse with a fully functional serverless backend, real SEO metadata, and sub-2s First Contentful Paint.

### Lessons Learned
Performance optimization is the deepest education in how browsers work. Deferred scripts, preloaded fonts, and WebP images together moved scores more than any single change.
